Sometimes situations arise in your group that you might need a little help figuring out how to navigate. Thankfully, you’re not alone; we’ve gathered some practical advice for tricky situations and examples of what to do so you can more easily support your group.

Q: My group isn’t quite connecting with each other. What should I do?

With a group of 6-10+ people, it’s natural for not everyone to get along. Our goal is for gals to walk away with at least one true connection, so it’s okay if the whole group doesn’t fully click. Ideally, there will be smaller groups of gals that connect and form within the larger group. Here are a few ideas to consider:

• If it’s early in the series, ****your group might just need a little more time to warm up (sometimes it takes up to the 3rd or 4th experience for the group to gel more comfortably).
• We send weekly check-ins to guides - you can let us know as soon as you notice and you have the option to request a follow up from us. We will reach out and chat with you more about what is going on! Our goal is to ensure that everyone can make a meaningful connection and we are happy to rematch any gals that might not be clicking within a group to ensure they have a chance to make friends!
• Most groups tend to split into smaller groups, so don’t take this personally / try to force the full group to get along! It’s definitely a success if your gals graduate the series in smaller groups of 4/5!

Q: There’s someone in my group who isn’t a great fit for the program, how do I handle it?

It’s rare, but if there’s someone in your group who doesn’t seem to be ready to create or maintain friendships, is disruptive to the group dynamic, or seems like they might need more support than what the RealRoots program can provide, please email [email protected] as soon as possible so we can help determine the best course of action. You don’t have to navigate this alone!
